Believe it or not, you are a salesperson… now excel at it

When people first start out on their own, they are usually acting as the role of a “technition.” This is to say that they know how to do a specific job, or produce a specific product. In their previous job they were required to perform a specific task, and they performed it well; hence the desire to start out on their own.
However when entering the world of small business and entrepreneurship there are a whole new set of roles that the person must take on, and one of those roles is salesperson.
We tend to have a skewed perception of sales people. These scum bags make a living out of trying to dupe the people who are not strong enough to say “no”, right? Wrong. Everyone tries to sell something at some level. Whether it is why they should be hired, that you should read their content, or that their product/service is the right one to pick.
Once you accept this you can start to excel at it. Over the next few weeks I will be posting sales tips and methods that will help your income skyrocket. Stay tunned…
